Isro Gaganyaan Mission Latest Updates; Gaganyaan Engine Test

Isro is undoubtedly one of the greatest space research organisations out there. It has achieved some remarkable feet in the past few decades. Still, they haven't sent humans to space yet. In today's space game, human space exploration is very important. Many aspiring astronauts leave the country as Isro didn't send humans for missions. Though we have remarkable Indian astronauts like Sunita Williams and Kalpana Chawla, but they were sent by NASA and Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to be ever sent to space was also sent on a Russian rocket. But finally with the Gaganyaan Mission, for the first time, 3 Indians including a woman will be sent to space on Indian spacecraft.

So, Gaganyaan will be a 5-7 days mission where the orbital module will be sent to lower earth orbit on the GSLV-Mk III Rocket. The orbital module consists of a service module that has two kinds of liquid propellant engines and thrusters. it also has some storage space. The other part is the crew module which will have three astronauts. The orbital module will move around the earth, conduct some experiments then finally will land in the Arabian sea with the help of two parachutes.

Last week the engines and propellant systems were successfully tested and the hot test was also done all the engines are perfectly working. The selection and training of the crew are complete and it was done in Russia.
Their spacesuits are currently being customized in Russia. In June 2022 its uncrewed testing will be done and if everything is fine then the final mission will be executed by the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023.

So, Gaganyaan Mission is a big challenge for Isro and once the mission is completed India will join the league of few countries that send humans to space. So, All the Best to Isro and it will be a proud moment for every Indian.
